Burn Bright

What is a candle, if it never produces light? And what is required of the candle in order to give that light?  “Burn Bright” is a story about the stark contrast between the dark emptiness of a hopeless world, and the beacon of purpose we can become through a life of self sacrifice. So many of us float through our lives, not living our true purpose, afraid to show our light because of the attention or criticism it might bring us. We become so focused on preserving ourselves that we forget that human beings were made to create light, to guide others to new paths, and to inspire those around them to reach new heights. But we can’t do that if we choose not to melt. When we choose a life of service, giving of ourselves to lift up others, not only does it bring more light into the world, but those in the dark are drawn to your light. Ask yourself these questions: “At what cost do we light the world around us? And what does it cost if we don’t?”
